We’re massive fans of these at WilderKitchen HQ. Such a cheap, quick and simple recipe.
If you don’t have an air fryer these work equally well in the oven or on the BBQ.
Recipe below, and you can see the video on Instagram, here!
Ingredients:
750g high welfare chicken wings (8 drums and 8 wings)
1/2 cup plain flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon ground ginger
4 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Fresh Thai basil (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels. This helps ensure a crispy texture.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the plain flour, salt, garlic powder, ground ginger, and chili powder until well combined.
3. Dredge the chicken wings in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure each piece is well-coated. Shake off any excess flour.
5. Place the coated chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry the wings at 180°C for 15 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, shake the basket or flip the wings to ensure even cooking.
6. While the wings are cooking, mix the Gochujang Hot Honey and soy sauce in a small bowl until well combined.
7. Once the wings are cooked and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and place them in a large bowl.
Pour the Gochujang Hot Honey and soy sauce mixture over the wings and toss them to ensure they are evenly coated.
8. Transfer the sauced wings to a serving platter.
Garnish with fresh Thai basil leaves for a burst of freshness and flavor.
9. Enjoy! Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your delicious air-fried chicken wings!
