Kimchi & Cheese Pancakes with our OG Hot Honey

Spicy, Cheesey, Gooey and All Kinds of Naughty! The Perfect Pancake Day Recipe. The pancake to rule all pancakes..

Makes around 6 big pancakes or 12 small.

  • Prep Time: 10 mins

  • Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 150g Plain Flour

  • 1 Large Egg

  • 120ml Whole Milk (Barista is Oat)

  • 200g Kimchi

  • 200g Gruyere Cheese (Grated)

  • 150g Bacon Lardon

  • WilderBee Original Hot Honey

Method:

  1. Cook of the bacon lardons until crisp and set aside

  2. Add the egg, flour and milk to a bowl along with as much of the juice that you can strain from the Kimchi. Whisk to form a thick batter

  3. Add in the bacon and cheese and fold through the batter (Let it sit for an hour to rest if you have time)

  4. In a heavy bottom pan on a medium heat drop your batter to form your pancakes.

  5. Cook on one side for 2 mins, but before flipping, add a good spoon of Kimchi to the uncooked side of of the pancake and press it down into the batter.

  6. Flip and cook for another 2 mins or until both sides are golden brown and the pancake is cooked through.

    Serve with a healthy drizzle of any of our Hot Honey range and enjoy the spicy, cheesey, gooey greatness of these little winners!
